Pressurized Water Systems

Epoxy pipe lining was brought to North America in 1987 by American Pipe Lining. The company began employing its epoxy lining technology as a sole source contractor to the United States Navy aboard its carrier vessels. American Pipe Lining’s success with the U.S. Navy brought immediate attention to land-based clients that required similar services in their buildings and underground piping installations. Following EPA approval of its coating in 1988, American Pipe Lining began providing in-place pipe restoration services to clients that faced aging potable water systems and poor water quality, including a variety of low and high-rise housing developments, schools, industries and water utilities.

In 2006, APL granted an exclusive license to Nu Flow to utilize all technologies and patent right, making Nu Flow the only pipe and drain Rehabilitation Company which both manufactures and installs combined technologies for pressurized water systems, as well as trenchless repair on non-pressurized systems. Nu Flow acquired APL in 2007, solidifying Nu Flow’s position as the industry leader in small diameter pipe lining.In-place epoxy pipe lining is a process that restores corroded or eroded piping systems without the costly expense and disruption of pipe replacement.

Significant savings over repipe or pipe replacement
Increases life of piping
Very little disruption, if any
Preservation of building structure and surrounding landscape or hardscape
Little to no destruction to the property Destruction of existing walls, ceilings, floors and underground structures

Patching and repair of the damaged structure
Inconvenience and disruption to building/facility occupants or residents
Safety concerns where asbestos insulation or other contaminants are present
The need to temporarily vacate occupants and dwelling tenants High monetary cost

Minerals leaching from pipes into drinking water
Mineral deposits that limit water flow
Corrosion of the pipes and discolored water
Pinhole leaks
Plugged fixtures and aerators
Joint Failures

Pipe lining provides an efficient, effective alternative with many benefits, which include:

Significant savings over repipe or pipe replacement
Increases life of piping
Very little disruption, if any
Preservation of building structure and surrounding landscape or hardscape
Little to no destruction to the property

Internal Pipe Coating

Internal Pipe Coating System & Solutions

If you have never heard of internal pipe coating, it is a process used to repair old, leaky plumbing pipes by leaving the pipe structure in place and coating the interior of the pipes with an epoxy coating.

If you have older plumbing in your home combined with corrosion and/or leaks, internal pipe coating can help you in several ways:

  • It saves a great deal of money over replacing your entire plumbing system.
  • Your daily activities are not interrupted.
  • We won’t tear up your landscaping or your home or building.
  • Water flow will be greatly improved.
  • Your pipes will be “better than new”

Internal pipe coating can be used in any type of structure that has plumbing. For example:

  • Residential properties
  • Commercial properties
  • HVAC systems
  • Hospitals
  • Apartments
  • Schools
  • Historical buildings
  • Retirement homes and more

Nu Flow’s Patented Process

The process begins by draining the water out of the system and drying the moisture left behind using dry heated air. Next the pipes are sandblasted to clear away build-up and corrosion as well as creating a roughed up surface so the epoxy can get a firm grip on the pipe interior.

Next comes the epoxy coating system. We spray that in until the pipes are properly coated. This creates a barrier between the water and the pipe keeping out corrosion and groundwater contamination. The coating can handle a wide range of water temperatures. It provides corrosion protection from chemicals, moisture, and other damaging substances, eliminates weakened joints, and seals cracks. It even reduces friction resistance between the pipe and the water.

Economical and Extends Pipe Life

This type of in-place pipe restoration is an economical and efficient alternative to traditional pipe system replacement. The epoxy liner seals and protects from further deterioration, and dramatically extends the life of the piping system. It can be used on most types of piping materials including:

  • Copper
  • Clay
  • Galvanized steel
  • Metal
  • Iron
  • Lead
  • PVC
  • Concrete
  • Fiberglass

The Nu Flow internal pipe coating process is patented, and non-destructive so businesses can avoid employee displacement or business closure while we are working.

Researched & Patented

Nu Flow’s patented internal pipe coating system is the result of more than 7,000 hours of research. Our cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) system creates a long-term, structural pipe inside the existing host pipe without the need for digging or destruction to buildings or landscape.

Before you go looking for a contractor to replace your plumbing system, get an estimate from Nu Flow and let us show you how our internal pipe coating system can be of benefit to your home or building.

Building Owners, Facility and Operation Managers have to not only make decisions on what is the most cost effective way to fix pipe problems, they also have to be mindful of the inconvenience this will cause their tenants and visitors in terms of noise, destruction, rehabilitation and rectification works before and after pipe repairs.

Nu Flow Cape have the ability to fix pressurised piping systems non-invasively using existing access points on all water pipes, fire supply pipework and HVAC and drainage systems. Nu Flow Cape offers the least disruptive and most viable option for pipe renewal.

Whether your piping issues are related to a build-up of corrosion in any type of pipe of all kinds and sizes or whether your pipework just needs updating or a full rehabilitation, Nu Flow’s proven track record and international installation experience will help you solve your piping concerns with minimal disruption to your daily operations.
